Vedrana Nanich
Assistant Director

Vedrana Nanich was born on October 13th, 1980 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Vedrana Nanich

As a classic form of escapism, which has also proved to be extremely therapeutic during the war years in Sarajevo, she joined the Youth Theatrical Troupe at the National Theatre in Sarajevo at tender age of 14.

At 16, she moved to USA where she continued to study acting, both in high school and in college. In her pursuit for an authentic artistic vision, she has also studied and experimented with film and music and strongly supports the idea of exploring different forms and mediums of expression. She has recently graduated from New York Film Academy, majoring in directing, and has written, directed, produced and acted in a short film entitled "OMNIA MEA MECUM PORTO" - (All that is mine I carry with me) which will enter festivals beginning next year.

Together with her friend, fellow Sarajevan and a filmmaker, Vedran Residbegovic, in 2004 she founded her own film and video production company called "Bread and Games". As an artist she is primarily interested in exploring; always fighting against traditional structure characteristics in any art form. She is greatly influenced by, and a supporter of Theatre of Absurd, Surrealism, French New Wave and Dogma 95 Manifesto.

On a more personal note: Vedrana is honored to be a part of this particular production of Macbett.
